I work for AX Track not only for the love of the sport, but to share the love with athletes who look up to us. AX is a family that will go on forever. AX bonds all athletes and coaches with track and opens doors for more opportunities like school, jobs, or even just a family.

Coaching History: Started coaching at Mr. Pleasant in 2012-2018. Student Coach at LIncoln University 2015-2016. Started at A.I High School in Spring 2018
Favorite Memory: 2016 Indoor Nationals when our guys swept every age group in Triple Jump. They were National Champs. And two of the three athletes broke the national record.

LaMar Bruton

“I love coaching because it creates a platform to teach and give back to the athletic community that helped me achieve many goals as an adolescent. Also, I find it very rewarding to watch athletes grow and cultivate lasting relationships while acquiring transferable skills and discipline.”

He has 10+ years experience in track and field, with a specialty in sprints.
Coach Lamar is also an Employment Assistant in the Education & Employment Department at West End Neighborhood House.
His favorite thing to do outside of AX is to sing and be happy.
